Spring has most definitely sprung, and it’s not long now until Easter. Even if you haven’t made plans to stay at a hotel that’s doing something special for Easter, there’s still time to arrange a seasonal afternoon tea.

Afternoon tea is always better when the sweet treats are Easter themed. From simnel cake to chocolate eggs, these London hotels will have you hopping with excitement for seasonal desserts…

The Milestone

April is set to be a particularly chocolatey month at The Milestone Hotel.

The cocktail of the month is a Chocochino, and on top of that, there’s a chocolate afternoon on offer for both adults and kids.

For grown-ups, there’s chocolate and poached pear tartlets, and chocolate and orange cheesecake. With the Little Prince and Princesses menu, kids will get a chance to decorate their own chocolate egg.

Hotel Cafe Royal

Find Easter classics like simnel cake and carrot cake at Hotel Cafe Royal.

There’s also a cute pistachio and orange macaron with bunny ears, and a cherry crème Catalan tart (a Spanish dessert related to the crème brulée).

Plus, there’s a praline hazelnut loaf and, for an amuse bouche, a goat’s cheese and pickled apple muffin.

Ham Yard

Lovers of all things kitsch will love the Easter afternoon tea offering at the Ham Yard Hotel this year.

With both traditional favourites and inventive chocolatey treats on the menu, there’s lots of tasty things to try. You even get a special Easter cocktail, and everything is served in and on kitsch crockery.

The Arch

The Arch is offering a seasonal afternoon tea in the Martini Library, the restaurant, or Salon de Champagne lounge.

As well as being able to enjoy it on its own, you can also get it as part of the hotel’s Easter package for anyone who chooses to stay at the hotel. They also have a 3-course Easter menu at Hunter 486, available for lunch or dinner.

Easter is a time for chocolate, but you don’t have to eat it on its own. Surround it with all the other elements of a good afternoon tea for a proper Easter treat.
